Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a Finance professional in Kuala Lumpur to support cost accounting activities, inventory analysis, and manufacturing financial reporting. The role involves month-end close, ERP-based standard cost maintenance, and collaboration with Supply Chain to optimize financial outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a finance-related degree, with at least five years of experience in a large manufacturing setting and strong Excel/ERP expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is required.
• Experience in SAP/ERP systems and strong Excel skills are required.
• Understanding of manufacturing and cost accounting processes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze monthly inventory-related accounting results, including intercompany profit elimination and allocations, and provide recommendations.
• Generate insights from financial trends and prepare management presentations.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to assess financial impact of process changes.
• Prepare month-end journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and maintain standard costs in ERP.
• Evaluate system capabilities and propose process improvements and upgrades.
• Support compliance activities (SOX, internal controls, physical inventory).
• Assist with other incidental duties.

How you'll make an impact:

• Apply professional expertise and judgment to support cost accounting activities and business outcomes
• Analyze and interpret complex monthly accounting results for inventory related sales, including intercompany profit elimination reporting and allocations claims, analyzing inventory obsolescence and write off by working with Supply Chain and other stakeholders. Provide insights and make recommendations regarding possible course corrections
• Draw findings from financial trend reports, synthesize information, and create presentations for management
• Partner with Supply Chain leaders to advise on financial impact of recent/proposed process changes
• Prepare and process month-end journal entries; prepare balance sheet account reconciliations; calculate, update, and maintain product standard cost in ERP system; gathering data and generating reports in support of manufacturing trend analysis
• Assess system capabilities and process efficiencies, and make recommendations for enhancements and upgrades
• Assist in compliance activities (e.g., SOX, key and internal controls, physical inventory)
• Other incidental duties

What you'll need (Required):

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, 5 years experience of previous related experience Required and
• Experience working in a large manufacturing company
• Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and related financial systems; ERP (e.g., JDE, Oracle, SP) experience
• Good understanding of manufacturing and cost accounting processes
