Job summary

WhiteCrow Research Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Analyst, Data - VP1 to translate requirements into technical documentation and own data mapping initiatives.

You will develop specifications, mappings, and dictionaries while guiding CRs from inception through production support. The role requires strong Teradata SQL, Informatica PowerCenter, and Hadoop ecosystem experience, with Python and Unix scripting as a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related work experience in data analytics and BI.
• Strong knowledge of Teradata SQL and Informatica PowerCenter.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, Impala).
• Understanding of SDM/EDW standards and data modeling.
• Familiarity with Python and Unix scripting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and translate into high-level and low-level documentation, including source-to-target mapping.
• Build functional specifications, data mappings, and data dictionaries.
• Own the entire project / CRs from inception to production support.
• Assist development teams with queries and SIT/UAT testing.
• Attend SIT/UAT JIRA tickets and adhere to SLAs.
• Coordinate with production support teams for post-live validations.

As a Senior Analyst, Data - VP1, you will be responsible for:

• Reviewing and understanding requirements and translating them into high-level and low-level documentation, including source-to-target mapping.
• Building functional specifications, data mappings, and data dictionaries that maintain current EDW / SDM standards.
• Owning the entire project / CRs from inception to production support.
• Assisting development teams with queries pertaining to development and supporting SIT / UAT testing.
• Attending to SIT / UAT JIRA tickets and adhering to SLAs.
• Working with production support teams as required to support production activities and post-live validations.
• Demonstrating impeccable written and oral communication skills, including at the mapping documentation level.
• Ensuring that documentation is being captured, maintained, understood by, and made available to business and/or IT partners.
• Escalating critical technical issues and potential problems to the Project Manager / TDM as needed to address related issues in advance of deadlines.
• Communicating with users and supporting their queries.

What you already have...

• Must have over 7 years related work experience.
• Extensive knowledge & experience in Teradata and SQL, Informatica PowerCenter V10+
• Experience on Database Hadoop (Hive, Impala, beeline)
• Understanding of software development lifecycle methodology
• Exposure in database tuning would be an advantage
• Knowledge in Python & Unix scripting would be an added advantage.
