Job summary

Bybit, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, seeks a detail-oriented Name Screening & Travel Rule AML Specialist to join our AML Operations team in Kuala Lumpur. The role covers sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening across the customer lifecycle and supports Travel Rule compliance for virtual asset transfers.

You will review alerts, document clear rationale, escalate high-risk cases, and collaborate with internal teams and VASPs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of AML Operations in financial services or fintech.
• Hands-on name screening, sanctions or Travel Rule experience.
• Knowledge of sanctions frameworks, PEP/adverse media, FATF Travel Rule.
• Understanding of virtual asset transactions and AML/CFT risks.
• Professional certifications such as CAMS or ICA are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review and disposition screening alerts for sanctions, PEPs, and adverse media.
• Investigate matches, document rationale, escalate high-risk cases.
• Support Travel Rule by reviewing originator and beneficiary data.
• Liaise with internal teams and VASPs to resolve issues.
• Monitor regulatory developments and support implementation of controls.
• Maintain case records for audits and inquiries.
• Identify false positives and contribute to rule tuning and automation.
