Job summary

Sandisk is seeking a Software & AI Platform Engineer to design, develop, and evolve in-house platforms powering automation, analytics, and AI-driven operations in semiconductor manufacturing.

You will advance real-time data processing, AI integrations, and scalable services across cross-functional teams, contributing to the Factory of the Future vision and industrial AI initiatives at Sandisk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of software/ platform engineering or related roles.
• Strong programming in Python/C#/JavaScript or similar languages.
• Experience with APIs, backend development, and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, testing, and collaborative workflows.
• Understanding of data pipelines and distributed data systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing/industrial automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software platforms for automation, analytics, and AI.
• Build and optimize data pipelines, APIs, and backend services for manufacturing data.
• Integrate AI capabilities into platforms including ML, generative AI, and intelligent agents.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, IT, and operations to deliver digital solutions.
• Develop real-time data processing, event-driven architectures, and streaming analytics.
• Create AI-enabled apps such as conversational agents, recommendation systems, anomaly detection, CV, or predictive analytics.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, data quality, and security via monitoring and tests.
• Support interoperability via APIs, microservices, and integration frameworks.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with AI, cloud-native systems, and industrial software practices.
