Job summary

R Systems is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to drive the deployment and integration of AI and GenAI solutions into enterprise applications and internal systems in Kuala Lumpur. This role focuses on API integration, cloud deployment, and ensuring reliable, scalable AI services across web portals and backend systems.

You will collaborate with data scientists, backend developers, and business teams to connect AI capabilities with real business workflows, while adhering to security and governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science or related technical field.
• At least 4 years working experience related AI engineering and API integration job
• Hands-on experience in API integration and backend development
• Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON
• AWS cloud experience, and familiar with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, CloudWatch
• Understanding of authentication methods such as OAuth2, SSO etc

Responsibilities

• Integrate AI services and chatbot APIs into web portals, internal systems, and applications
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend integrations
• Deploy and maintain applications on AWS cloud infrastructure, including monitoring system performance and ensuring reliability
• Configure and support services such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, IAM
• Troubleshoot technical issues, optimize application performance, and ensure compliance with security and governance standards
• Collaborate with data scientists, product team, business stakeholders and developers to deliver scalable AI solutions.
