Job summary

YTL AI Cloud is building next-generation AI infrastructure and GPU data centres in Malaysia, and we are looking for a Senior Data Center Network Engineer to join our growing engineering team.

You will design, operate and improve the high-performance network infrastructure that powers large-scale AI/GPU clusters and cloud services, with hands-on work on NVIDIA InfiniBand, Spectrum Ethernet/Spectrum-X and RoCEv2.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data-centre networking experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching and network redundancy.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista or equivalent platforms.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, ACLs and network security.
• Good Linux and host networking understanding.
• Experience with network automation is a plus.
• InfiniBand, RDMA/RoCE or GPU networking is advantageous.
• Willingness to be site-based in Johor and participate in 24x7 support.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and operate data-centre and AI/GPU network infrastructure.
• Work with BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, VLANs and high-performance network fabrics.
• Support NVIDIA InfiniBand, RoCEv2 and Ethernet-based AI networking.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and complex issues.
• Support network security including firewalls, VPNs and ACLs.
• Automate network operations using Python, Ansible or IaC.
• Assist GPU cluster deployments and capacity planning.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for incidents.
• Collaborate with Systems, Platform, Operations and Security teams.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to standards and docs.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call/escalation roster.

YTL AI Cloud is building next-generation AI infrastructure and GPU data centres in Malaysia, and we are looking for a Senior Data Center Network Engineer to join our growing engineering team.

You will be responsible for designing, operating and improving the high-performance network infrastructure that powers large-scale AI/GPU clusters and cloud services.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced network engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure problems and wants to work with emerging technologies such as NVIDIA InfiniBand, Spectrum Ethernet/Spectrum-X and RoCEv2.

You don't need to be an AI networking expert from day one. Strong data-centre networking fundamentals and a willingness to learn are what matter most.

What You'll Do

• Design, deploy and operate highly available data-centre and AI/GPU network infrastructure.
• Work with technologies such as BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, VLANs, routing, switching and high-performance network fabrics.
• Support NVIDIA InfiniBand, RoCEv2 and Ethernet-based AI networking.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, connectivity and complex infrastructure issues.
• Support network security including firewalls, VPNs, ACLs and network segmentation.
• Automate network operations using Python, Ansible, APIs or Infrastructure as Code.
• Support new GPU cluster deployments, network expansion, testing and capacity planning.
• Lead technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex network incidents.
• Work closely with Systems, Platform, Operations, Security and Data Centre teams.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to technical standards and documentation.
• Participate in a 24×7 on-call/escalation roster as required.
  

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of network engineering experience, preferably in data centres, cloud, service providers or large-scale infrastructure environments.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, BGP and network redundancy.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista or equivalent networking platforms.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, ACLs and network security.
• Good understanding of Linux and host networking.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with network automation using Python, Ansible or similar tools is an advantage.
• Experience with InfiniBand, RDMA/RoCE, NVIDIA networking or GPU infrastructure is highly advantageous, but not essential.
• Willingness to work site-based in Johor and participate in 24×7 operational support.
