Job summary
PTTEP Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced commercial professional to support negotiation and drafting of Production Sharing Contracts, Joint Operating Agreements and other key contracts. You will also liaise with PETRONAS and Joint Venture Partners to strengthen PTTEP’s commercial relationships and analyse the commercial impact of business decisions.
With a minimum of 10 years in upstream oil and gas, you will coordinate negotiations, prepare proposals, and provide scenario
Qualifications
- 10+ years in upstream oil & gas.
- Experience with Production Sharing Contracts, Joint Operating Agreements and Sales Agreements.
- Strong negotiation and economics experience.
- Familiarity with the Malaysian upstream oil & gas industry.

- Ensure PTTEP’s interests are protected in commercial negotiations.
- Lead and/or coordinate in commercial negotiations.
- Prepare and provide support with commercial proposals and scenario analyses.

- Ensure Company is well-represented at industry and trade groups.

Job description
- Support the Head, Commercial & Economics in negotiation and drafting contracts
- Work as a liaison between the various departments in the KL office on commercial projects
- Oversee, enable, develop, and strengthen Company’s commercial relationships with PETRONAS and Joint Venture Partners (JVPs)
- Consider the commercial impact of business decisions with regards to the Production Sharing Contracts, Joint Operating Agreements, and other key commercial agreements
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensure PTTEP’s interests are protected in commercial negotiations
- Lead and/or coordinate in commercial negotiations
- Prepare and provide support with commercial proposals and scenario analyses

KEY AUTHORITIES
- Responsible for the review of PSC’s, sales agreements, farmout agreements, JOA’s and other contracts
- Responsible for presentations and communications with Petronas and JVPs
- Responsible for contracts and commercial arrangement
- Responsible for planning and tracking PTTEP’s contract (PSC, GSA etc) performance
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the upstream Oil & Gas industry
- Experience with Production Sharing Contracts, Joint Operating Agreements and Sales Agreements
- Experience with commercial negotiations and economics
- Experience with major oil and gas projects
- Experience in negotiating oil and gas contracts
- Familiarity with the Malaysian upstream oil & gas industry
