Liberty Specialty Markets in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Actuary/Actuarial Manager to lead the APAC ADSS team, focusing on pricing enablement, regulatory analysis, and US GAAP reserving. English fluency is required, with Cantonese/Mandarin preferred but not required.

The role entails overseeing complex workstreams and providing independent reserving analyses to senior leadership. Responsibilities include leadership of projects, delivering rigorous analyses, and mentoring ADSS talent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a numerate field; fellowship with a relevant actuarial society is desirable
• Advanced Excel proficiency required; experience with Python for actuarial analysis or process improvements is desirable but not mandatory
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities to guide ADSS initiatives across APAC

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple complex project workstreams and provide independent reserve analyses with clear recommendations.
• Act as trusted advisor to leadership, communicating analyses with insight and objectivity.
• Develop and nurture ADSS talent, coaching team members and driving continuous improvement.
