Job summary

Wilhelmsen Ship Management in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a finance professional to manage full sets of accounts, monthly closings, and financial reporting. The role will involve balance sheet reconciliations, AR/AP activities, tax compliance, and process improvement initiatives.

The position is based in KL Sentral with a hybrid working arrangement (3 days in the office, 2 days remote), offering exposure to an international work environment and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Financial Accounting & Reporting: prepare and maintain full sets of accounts; ensure timely monthly/annual closings; journal entries, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation: monthly reconciliations; ensure proper support and resolution of discrepancies.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: review vendor payments and customer collections; handle invoicing and credit control.
• Statutory Compliance & Taxation: assist in tax returns and statutory filings; liaise with auditors and regulators.
• Process Improvement: identify improvements to financial processes and internal controls; support ERP/automation projects.
• Others: assist supervisor with additional tasks as required.
