Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced accountant to manage the full set of accounts for property development and construction activities in Selangor. You will ensure accurate monthly reporting and compliance with statutory requirements across departments.

You will oversee AP/AR/GL, intercompany transactions, tax computations, group consolidation, and liaise with external auditors to support timely, auditable financial results under MFRS.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in property development or construction.
• Familiar with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards, Income Tax and Service Tax laws and regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QnE accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounts including AP, AR, GL, and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Oversee daily operations such as receivables, invoicing, payments, and accounting system entries.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and audit schedules.
• Oversee and manage intercompany transactions and related party transactions.
• Support group consolidation for quarterly financial results, familiar with MFRS.
• Liaise with external auditors for statutory audit.
• Prepare provisional tax computation for estimate of tax at every 6th, 9th and 11th month of a year of assessment.
• Submit service tax return, including service tax on imported service and digital service.
• Remit withholding tax to IRB.
• Coordinate payment approvals, schedule payments, and ensure timely processing payments.

The role will be involved in the day-to-day transactions and operations, work collaboratively with other departments.
