Job summary

JM Estate is seeking an experienced Finance/Accounting professional in Malaysia to manage full sets of accounts, perform month-end closing and concise financial reporting. The role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience and proficiency in Excel and accounting software.

The ideal candidate communicates effectively in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia, works well across departments, and can meet deadlines under pressure. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Post Graduate or equivalent.
• At least 2-3 years of working experience in Finance/Accounting.
• Experience in the property development industry is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Computer literate with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (SQL and UBS).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for coordination across departments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform well under pressure.
• Immediate availability or short notice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full sets of accounts, including month-end closing and monthly financial reporting.
• Conduct general accounting duties: data entry and record-keeping.
• Prepare cash flow reports, oversee collections and payments.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and funding projections.
• Liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agents, and company secretary.
• Carry out ad hoc tasks as assigned.
