Job summary

Monroe Consulting Group, on behalf of a logistics organisation, is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead the 4PL Hub Operations Team in Malaysia. The role focuses on operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across regional supply chain activities.

You will drive end-to-end logistics operations, oversee project initiatives, manage a large team, and collaborate with IT and other departments to optimise performance, quality, and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in transport or freight forwarding.
• 5+ years in customer service with international clients.
• Experience in 4PL or Control Tower environments preferred.
• Team management experience of over 50 staff is essential.
• Background in logistics, supply chain, or international trade.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team within the 4PL Hub Operations Team.
• Build and nurture a high-performing team culture emphasizing accountability and continuous improvement.
• Empower team members by delegating responsibilities and recognizing contributions.
• Act as a role model for ethical leadership, promoting transparency and integrity across operations.
• Develop succession planning and talent pipelines for long-term resilience.
• Define team structure, roles, and responsibilities aligned with goals.
• Lead change management initiatives and digital transformation efforts.
• Mentor and coach managers and team leaders to handle complex logistics operations.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and learning.
• Manage escalations and coverage during holidays or absences.
