Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Thermo-Mechanical Simulation Engineer to drive FEA-based evaluation of semiconductor packages and power modules. You will develop and execute simulation methodologies with a focus on thermal, mechanical, and reliability analyses to support new product development.

You will collaborate with design, process, reliability, and manufacturing teams, build accurate models, correlate results with measurements, and generate reports to guide design improvements and technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics or related.
• Strong experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL).
• Ability to correlate simulation results with experimental data.

Responsibilities

• Perform thermo-mechanical simulations of semiconductor packages, power modules, and electronic assemblies.
• Develop models to evaluate thermal performance, stress, warpage, and reliability risks.
• Support package and material selection by assessing mechanical integrity and thermal behavior.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product performance.
• Generate technical reports and present findings for design improvements.
