Job summary

POET Technologies in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an Engineer, Process Integration to support semiconductor manufacturing and wafer fabrication for advanced photonic and semiconductor products. You will collaborate with foundry partners and internal teams to monitor processes, perform inspections, and help maintain quality and yield.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field, and 3+ years in wafer fabrication or process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field is required.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing and process integration is required.
• Familiarity with lithography, etching, deposition, CMP, and wafer inspection tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with semiconductor foundries on wafer processing activities and schedule updates.
• Monitor wafer fabrication processes to support manufacturing operations and product quality.
• Oversee wafer-level activities to ensure compliance with specifications and integration needs.
• Perform incoming wafer inspections and assist defect analysis and yield monitoring.
• Support validation of photonic and electrical performance for interposer structures.
• Prepare process docs, inspection records, and manufacturing data tracking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement.
