Job summary

Celestica is seeking an Associate Engineer, Manufacturing Process in Malaysia to design, develop, deploy, and optimize manufacturing processes for quality, cost, and delivery goals. The role includes DOE/ SPC-driven process capability, DFM input, and mentoring junior engineers.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering background with hands-on experience in manufacturing within semiconductor or heavy capital equipment industries, and strong English

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering; a Diploma with over 5 years of specialized experience may be considered.
Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering within semiconductor or heavy capital equipment industry.

Responsibilities

Design and implement new manufacturing processes, application software, and tooling for complex capital equipment machines.
Lead initiatives to improve yield, productivity, and reduce cycle times through analysis and innovation.
Use DOE and statistical methods to assess machine and process capability for throughput and cost-efficiency.
Lead root-cause analysis for multistage product or process failures affecting factory operations.
Provide feedback to product designers on manufacturability (DFM) considerations for prototype to production.
Create and manage test procedures, assembly instructions, and implementation processes for NPI.
Ensure all manufacturing and test equipment is calibrated, certified, and compliant with quality standards.
