Job summary

Kosmic Technologies is seeking a Semiconductor Equipment Designer (ME/EE) to lead the architecture and design of advanced equipment. You will convert concepts into design requirements, create CAD models, run simulations, and drive DFx reviews with cross-functional teams.

You will prototype, test, and support cost estimation for proposals, stay updated on industry trends, collaborate with manufacturing partners, and apply leadership behaviors to guide the design team.

Qualifications

• Sensors/Moving Parts integration expertise.
• FEA proficiency.
• Tolerance analysis capability.
• Knowledge of mechanical components and commodities.
• Understanding material properties and mechanical assembly.

Responsibilities

• Convert concepts into design requirements, develop CAD models and technical drawings, conduct design simulations and reliability analysis, tooling design, and DFx review
• Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate design concepts and iterate as necessary
• Support technical proposal, planning and cost estimation that will aid in the initial quoting process
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, regulations and best practices to contribute to the advancement of design best practices, procedures, quality, efficiency or the acquisitions of new capabilities
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure seamless production and timely delivery
• Identify and evaluate materials and manufacturing processes that align with product requirements and contribute to cost effective solutions

Recognized subject matter expert for one or more technical areas. Lead the architect, design and implementation of technical solutions in multiple domains and market segments that meets the customer and regulatory requirements. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to integrate mechanical systems into overall product architecture and support product transition to manufacturing.
