Job summary

V.S. Industry Berhad in Kulai, Malaysia, is seeking a Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer to drive New Product Introduction and product transfers from development through production.

You will review specifications, plan manufacturing processes, coordinate with customers and internal teams, and implement improvements to ensure quality, productivity, capacity, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Semiconductor Engineering or equivalent.
• Familiar with semiconductor manufacturing processes, machine programming, and process optimization.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills with cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Review products, samples, drawings, specifications and conduct manufacturing feasibility studies.
• Act as the engineering/project champion for NPI and product transfer projects from development through production implementation.
• Liaise with customers and cross-functional teams on new product development, project progress and production implementation.
• Plan, develop and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment and production flow to meet quality, productivity, capacity and cost targets.
• Prepare and maintain engineering and manufacturing documentation.
• Support product fitting and function testing.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and product-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield, process capability, productivity, quality, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
