Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on production operator to operate and set up machines, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues on the manufacturing floor.

You will work to meet daily production targets, follow schedules, minimize downtime and waste, and perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications. You will also handle materials, maintain 5S housekeeping, document outputs, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines according to work instructions.
• Monitor machine performance during production.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and report equipment issues.
• Achieve daily production output and efficiency targets.
• Follow production schedules and priorities.
• Minimize downtime and material wastage.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections.
• Ensure products meet specifications and quality requirements.
• Segregate and report defective products.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished goods.
• Ensure correct material usage according to production requirements.
• Maintain material traceability where applicable.
• Follow all safety regulations, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Report unsafe conditions and incidents immediately.
• Participate in safety trainings and activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Follow 5S standards and workplace discipline.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored.
• Complete production records, checklists, and reports accurately.
• Record output, downtime, defects, and machine abnormalities.
• Support traceability and audit requirements.
• Participate in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and improvement activities.
• Suggest ideas to improve productivity, quality, and safety.
• Support problem-solving activities as required.
