AEON Co. (M) Bhd. in Malaysia seeks a seasoned Security Manager to develop and oversee security, safety and loss-prevention policies across our retail premises.

You will lead security personnel, plan manpower, schedule shifts, and manage incidents, ensuring safety for employees, customers and assets. Proficiency with CCTV, access control and alarm systems is essential.

The role requires 5–8 years in security with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory capacity, and a relevant degree or diploma.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Security Management, Occupational Safety and Health, Law Enforcement, Risk Management or a related field.
• At least 5–8 years of relevant experience in security, safety or loss prevention, including a minimum of 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience in the retail, shopping mall, hospitality or property-management industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, emergency response, incident investigation and workplace safety requirements.
• Familiarity with CCTV, access-control, alarm and fire-safety systems.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving and crisis-management skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Able to prepare professional investigation reports, management reports and standard operating procedures.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, discipline and attention to detail.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays and respond to emergencies when necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Relevant certification in Occupational Safety and Health, First Aid, Fire Safety or Security Management would be an added advantage.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement and monitor security, safety and loss-prevention policies across the business premises.
• Lead and supervise security personnel, including manpower planning, shift scheduling, training and performance management.
• Ensure the safety and security of employees, customers, tenants, visitors, company assets and premises.
• Conduct regular security patrols, safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards or vulnerabilities.
• Manage incidents involving theft, fraud, accidents, emergencies and other security or safety concerns.
• Lead emergency response procedures, evacuation exercises and crisis-management activities.
• Monitor CCTV, access-control, alarm and other security systems to ensure they remain fully operational.
• Conduct investigations, prepare incident reports and recommend corrective or preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legal, occupational safety and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with the police, fire and rescue department, local authorities, emergency services and external security providers when required.
• Manage security vendors, contracts, equipment and departmental expenses.
• Analyze incident trends and security data to improve preventive measures and operational effectiveness.
• Provide security and safety awareness training to employees and relevant stakeholders.
• Submit regular security, safety and incident reports to management.
