Job summary

Meili Resort Hotel Sdn Bhd is seeking a vigilant security officer to protect guests and property on-site at Semporna, Sabah. You will handle access control, patrol interiors and exteriors, monitor CCTV, and respond swiftly to incidents while coordinating with local authorities when required.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid security license, CPR/First Aid certification preferred, and excellent situational awareness with calm, clear communication under pressure.

Job description

Access Control: Monitor entry points, verify employee/visitor credentials, and prevent unauthorized personnel from entering restricted zones.

Patrol and Surveillance: Regularly inspect the interior and exterior of the facility, and actively monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, and security software.

Incident Response: Respond immediately to security breaches, emergencies, and alarms. Detain trespassers when necessary and coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services.

Reporting: Maintain detailed daily activity logs and write comprehensive incident reports for management and authorities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing: Valid state or regional security officer license (e.g., certifications required by local police or licensing boards - Compulsory)

Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications are strongly preferred.

Physical Fitness: Ability to stand or walk for long periods and respond quickly to physical incidents.

Soft Skills: Exceptional situational awareness, calm demeanor under pressure, and strong written/verbal communication skills
