Job summary

BizLink Group is seeking a Security & Loss Prevention Assistant Manager to safeguard manufacturing operations in Penang. You will design and implement security strategies, manage third-party guards, and oversee security technologies such as CCTV and access control.

Overview Of The Position

The Security & Loss Prevention Assistant Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding plant operations, physical assets, and personnel within a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for designing and executing comprehensive security and loss prevention strategies, managing third-party guard forces, and overseeing physical security technologies. By driving cross-departmental collaboration and leading complex investigations, the manager ensures strict alignment with overarching plant safety and compliance goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously review plant-wide Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for security, loss prevention, and crisis management.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability audits of the facility to identify and mitigate potential security blind spots.
• Manage the contract and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the third-party security guard provider.
• Approve guard force schedules, deployment strategies, and overtime budgets.
• Oversee the maintenance and upgrading of physical security technologies (CCTV, access control, perimeter defenses) and manage relationships with external tech vendors
• Lead investigations into major incidents, complex inventory discrepancies, suspected internal fraud, or workplace violence
• Design the overarching loss prevention strategy, focusing on high-risk areas like scrap material disposal, intellectual property, and shipping/receiving.
• Collaborate with the plant’s Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and HR departments to align security policies with overall plant safety and compliance goals

Job Requirements

• Need 8+ years of work experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Degree in Security Management, safety & health, sciences, or engineering studies.
• Preferred: ex-armed forces personnel.
• Knowledge of TAPA, CTPAT, ISO 27001.
