Job summary

HAVI is seeking an Operational Technology Security Architect to join the TechHUB in Kuala Lumpur. You will design secure OT networks, segment critical industrial systems, and reduce risk across ICS, BMS, and warehouse automation, ensuring alignment with NIS 2 and ISO 27001.

Role requires strong communication across IT and facilities and the ability to operate with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in OT/ICS cybersecurity, knowledge of Purdue models, and experience managing

• 3–5+ years in cybersecurity focusing on OT/ICS or physical automation security.
• Knowledge of secure industrial architecture and Purdue model.
• Familiar with SCADA, PLCs, BMS/HVAC.
• Familiar with OT security frameworks (IEC 62443, NIST SP 800‑82) and relation to NIS 2 / ISO 27001.
• Understanding risk assessment in uptime-critical environments.
• Experience with third-party supply chain risks and secure remote access.
• Strong communication with IT and facility engineering.

About The Role

We are looking for an Operational Technology (OT) Security Architect to join our TechHUB in Kuala Lumpur! This person will help us to secure our physical supply chain, logistics centers, and automated cold storage facilities. This role focuses on the secure design, network segmentation, and risk reduction of industrial networks, building management systems (BMS), and physical warehouse automation platforms. The ideal candidate combines a strong technical understanding of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) with governance awareness, bridging the gap between corporate security requirements and the high‑availability realities of physical site operations to meet strict NIS 2 regulations.

The Skills

• 3–5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a dedicated focus on Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), or physical automation security.
• Solid understanding of secure industrial architecture principles, specifically network segmentation models (e.g., the Purdue Model).
• Familiarity with industrial automation components, SCADA environments, PLCs, and Building Management Systems (BMS/HVAC).
• Awareness of OT‑specific security frameworks and standards (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST SP 800‑82) and their relationship to NIS 2 and ISO 27001.
• Understanding of risk assessment methodologies tailored for physical/operational environments where uptime is critical.
• Experience managing third‑party supply chain risks and secure remote access capabilities for site maintenance vendors.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and facilitation skills, with an ability to communicate security risks effectively to both corporate IT and facility engineering teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple facility‑level security reviews with minimal supervision.
• Full English fluency both spoken and written.
• Pluses: Certifications such as GICSP, GRID, CISM, CISSP; hands‑on experience in automated logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing sectors.
