Job summary

Amazon Web Services Malaysia SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Security Consultant to help customers and partners develop technical security capabilities on AWS. You will lead security workstreams, design complex AWS solutions, and mentor others to strengthen cloud security across engagements.

The role focuses on information and cyber security management, compliance in large-scale environments, with opportunities to influence security practices and drive secure cloud adoption.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security, compliance and risk management experience.
• 5+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience, or Bachelor's degree.
• 4+ years of external or internal customer facing, large-scale project management experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on infrastructure, troubleshooting, systems administration, networking, DevOps or applications development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical leader for customer engagements, particularly the security workstreams, leading teams of consultants.
• Design and implement complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs.

At AWS, we're hiring an experienced Security Consulting professional to help our customers and partners develop technical expertise and capacity, and to work with our partners on key customer engagements.

Our consultants deliver security advice, architecture guidance, and security engineering; lead proof-of-concept projects; and deliver customer engagements. AWS consultants collaborate with customers to address security risk, achieve security outcomes, and implement and migrate customer solutions and workloads to the cloud. AWS consultants also have a drive to continue to learn and improve, including coaching and mentoring others.

This role specialises in all aspects of information and cyber security management, as well as business and regulatory compliance using cloud services in large-scale computing environments.

Key job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of security, compliance and risk management experience
• 5+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience, or Bachelor's degree
• 4+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience
• 2+ years of hands-on infrastructure, troubleshooting, systems administration, networking, DevOps or applications development experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience and technical expertise (design and implementation) in cloud computing technologies
• CISSP, CISA, CISM or other security certification
• Experience in web security, or experience in Kubernetes, Docker or containers ecosystem and experience with threat modeling and penetration testing
• Experience with infrastructure as code, ops automation, and configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
