Job summary

Appspace is seeking an experienced Security Architect to secure AI platforms and cloud environments, leading security transformations for enterprise clients.

The role blends engineering and client engagement, with hands‑on duties in penetration testing, threat modelling, and SSDLC integration across AWS, GCP, and Azure. Kuala Lumpur based with global collaboration and on‑call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of information security experience including penetration testing and red‑team testing.
• Knowledge of OWASP, SAMMs, and ISO secure software development practices.
• Deep expertise in cloud security across IAM, networks, and cloud‑native tools.
• Hands‑on with vulnerability management and common attack vectors; familiar with SAST/DAST/SCA tools.
• Strong communication and ability to influence across technical and non‑technical teams.
• Certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, CISSP or cloud credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead security transformation initiatives for enterprise clients focusing on AI security, cloud security, and vulnerability management.
• Write code and automation scripts to streamline investigations.
• Serve as a primary client-facing security expert and communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Architect and implement secure cloud-native and traditional applications, especially in GCP and Azure.
• Conduct in-depth security assessments, red-team tests, and code reviews to identify vulnerabilities and remediate them.
• Develop SSDLC practices and integrate security across the development lifecycle.
