Job summary

Maybank is seeking a Cloud Security Architect in Kuala Lumpur to lead secure cloud and application design across multi-cloud and hybrid deployments. You will embed secure patterns into delivery pipelines, support security strategy, and drive DevSecOps practices with development and operations teams.

The role requires deep expertise in cloud security, risk assessment, and governance, with a focus on scalable controls and secure-by-design architectures in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of IT security experience with cloud & application security or DevSecOps, preferably in financial services.
• At least 5 years designing or engineering secure cloud architectures, workloads, and automation pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate cloud security architecture covering workloads, applications, containers, and platform services.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and cloud platform teams to embed secure patterns into delivery pipelines.
• Provide authority on secure integration of cloud-native and application-level security tools, ensuring automation and consistency across multi-environment deployments.
• Support cloud security strategy by defining measurable controls for applications, workloads, and development pipelines.
• Apply posture assessments to refine requirements for container security, application security, and automation.
• Represent cloud and application security in solutioning forums, ensuring secure adoption across development teams.
