Job summary

Citigroup in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 to support processing of orders and transactions from trading desks and branches. You will coordinate with Operations - Transaction Services to facilitate clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

The role requires 2-4 years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting/Finance, and ability to work the 5am–2pm shift, Tuesday to Saturday.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of macros and automation basics.
• Foundational understanding of treasury products, accounting, and regulatory policies.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks in a high-risk environment.
• Experience working in a fast-paced financial operations setting.
• Ability to work an early morning shift (5am–2pm Tue–Sat).

Responsibilities

• Process securities transactions and provide analytic input for traders.
• Identify and resolve settlement issues and suggest process improvements.
• Analyze moderately complex reports to support management and control activities.
• Monitor errors to minimize risk and escalate issues.
• Escalate transaction processing issues to appropriate departments.
• Design and analyze reports in line with leadership standards.
• Assist with control activities and launches of new products and services.
• Ensure compliance with audit and control policies.
