Job summary

Harvey Norman Malaysia is seeking a showroom supervisor to maintain store appearance, assist customers with product briefings and demos, and manage stock and reporting. The role involves training staff, preparing sales reports, and supporting the department to hit sales targets.

The position focuses on delivering high-quality customer service, supervising sales personnel and merchandise, and resolving customer questions promptly in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Maintain showroom appearance and upkeep to ensure a clean showroom before opening.
• Provide professional attendance to customers with product briefings and demonstrations to maximize customer satisfaction and sales.
• Monitor stock movements and keep detailed records of incoming and outgoing stock.

Responsibilities

• Train new hires and update staff when new products or procedures are introduced.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports for the manager.
• Assist Head of Department to manage the department from backroom to sales floor to meet sales budgets.
• Oversee and supervise sales personnel, merchandise, and showroom areas to achieve targets.
• Resolve customer issues promptly and maintain high standards of service.

Job description

• Maintain Showroom Appearance and upkeep for making sure that the showroom is clean and free from debris before the showroom opens.
• Ensure professional attendance to all customers coming to the showroom including proper product briefings and demonstration to ensure customer satisfaction and a high success rate in sales.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing stock at the showroom and keep detailed records on all stock movements.
• Prepare Showroom Materials and Merchandise; responsible for making sure that every piece of merchandise is correct.
• Make sure that product demos are working and are available for customers use.
• In charge of training all new hires as well as training the entire staff when new products or procedures come out.
• Need to prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales report for their manager.
• Assist Head of Department to run the department with accountability from backroom to sales area management.
• Responsible for overseeing, supervising and managing the respective sections (sales personnel, merchandise, sales floor area) to achieve sales budget.
• Managing and understanding customer requirements and queries by providing high level customer service assistance.
• Maintain the high standards of customer service within the store and assist with all relevant store operations.
• To ensure any problem highlighted by the customers are resolved effectively and promptly.
