Qualifications

• Must possess a recognised Nursing qualification.
• Must be a registered/qualified nurse with the relevant professional registration and practising requirements in Malaysia.
• Must have good knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
• Previous experience in a school, paediatric, clinic or healthcare environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic healthcare and first aid to students and staff.
• Attend to students who are unwell, injured or require medical attention during school hours.
• Assess health conditions and determine when further medical attention is required.
• Maintain confidential student health records.
• Administer medication following school procedures and parental/medical instructions.
• Manage the school’s first-aid facilities and medical supplies.
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with parents, clinics, hospitals or emergency services.
• Monitor and support students with existing medical needs where applicable.
• Assist with health screening, health education and school health programmes.
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic medical/health room.
