Job summary

Cognizant Malaysia is seeking an SAP SD Consultant to lead testing and data migration workstreams across client projects, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth cutovers. You will define test scopes, scripts, execute unit and integration tests, validate data, and drive issue triage under tight timelines, aligning with business processes in SAP S/4HANA.

Qualifications

• At least one full life‑cycle implementation of SAP S/4HANA.
• Deep understanding of Finished Goods business processes.
• Hands‑on SAP SD experience including IDOCs, Orders, Pricing, Invoicing, Outputs.
• Experience in large‑scale S/4HANA projects, global/multi‑national preferred.
• Experience with testing phases, data migration and validation tools is a strong advantage.
• Ability to collaborate across organisations; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform data validation during each data migration cycle using client tools.
• Coordinate across multiple tracks and functions for cutover discussions and activities.
• Conduct deep‑dive analysis of issues identified during testing, validation and cutover; triage and resolve under time pressure.
• Execute project deliverables, set priorities, and monitor progress, risk and results; report status to stakeholders.
• Partner with the business to ensure expectations are met and delivery of quality work across the project lifecycle.

Job Summary

As SAP SD Consultant, you will take a hands‑on role in test scope definition, test scripting, and execution across the project's testing and data migration cycles, working closely with the client's cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Take a hands‑on role in test scope definition and test scripting. Execute Unit Testing and String Testing after code remediation. Perform end‑to‑end Integration Testing and support User Acceptance Testing.

• Perform data validation using the client's selected tools during each data migration cycle.

• Coordinate across multiple tracks and functions for cutover discussions and activities.

• Conduct deep‑dive analysis of issues identified throughout testing, business data validation, and cutover cycles. Work across teams to triage and resolve issues under time pressure.

• Execute project deliverables, set priorities, and monitor and report on process, progress, risk, and results. Communicate project status to stakeholders on a regular basis.

• Partner with the business to ensure expectations are met and managed. Ensure consistent delivery of quality work in line with the client's project lifecycle.

Job Requirements

• At least one full life‑cycle implementation of SAP S/4HANA.

• Good understanding of Finished Goods business processes.

• Hands‑on SAP SD experience is essential — including work on implementations around IDOCs, Orders, Pricing, Invoicing, and Outputs.

• Experience performing detailed system analysis, developing functional and technical specifications, and hands‑on configuration for S/4HANA in a large‑scale project implementation (preferably for a global, multi‑national organisation).

• Played a key SD functional role in all Testing phases and Cutover activities for an S/4HANA project implementation. Experience with Test Automation, Data Migration, and Data Validation tools is a strong advantage.

• Ability to work effectively across multiple organisations to successfully implement projects spanning multiple SAP modules.

• Worked closely with Technical, DevOps, and other teams in the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA.

• Open and adaptive to learning new technologies. Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

• Cross‑functional team experience, with strong configuration and development skills.
