Job summary

E-Outsource Asia is seeking a Senior SAP Data Migration consultant in Kuala Lumpur to lead the migration lifecycle from legacy systems to SAP ECC/S/4HANA. You will design data conversion architectures, perform ETL using LTMC, BODS, and LSMW, and work with business stakeholders on data mapping and validation.

The role requires 5+ years in SAP data migration, strong SQL and Excel skills, and a track record of delivering full lifecycle migrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of SAP Data Migration experience with at least 2-3 full migrations (one with S/4HANA).
• Hands-on mastery of SAP data tools (BODS, LTMC, LSMW, BAPI, IDocs) and strong SQL/Excel basics.

Job description

• Drive the complete data migration lifecycle from legacy systems to SAP environments (ECC and S/4HANA), encompassing extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Design comprehensive data migration strategies, define data conversion architectures, and build detailed cutover plans and runbooks.
• Execute data loads using standard SAP migration tools, predominantly SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC/Migrate Your Data app), SAP Data Services (BODS), and Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW).
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business process owners to define field-level data mapping, conversion rules, and transformation logic.
• Identify data quality issues in source systems, establish data validation rules, and guide business stakeholders through required data cleansing and harmonization activities.
• Orchestrate mock data loads across multiple test cycles, analyze load errors, troubleshoot technical bottlenecks, and refine load programs prior to production go-live.
• Conduct post-load data reconciliation, generate validation reports, and secure formal business sign-off to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
• Maintain rigorous documentation, including data mapping matrices, technical specifications, and migration status dashboards for project leadership.

Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical/business discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of dedicated experience in SAP Data Migration, with successful delivery of at least 2 to 3 full-lifecycle SAP (at least one involving S/4HANA).
• Hands-on mastery of SAP data tools (SAP BODS, Migration Cockpit, LSMW, BAPI, IDocs) and strong foundational skills in database querying (SQL) and advanced Excel.
• Solid understanding of SAP data structures, relational tables, and master/transactional data dependencies across core modules (e.g., MM, SD, FICO, PP).
