Qualifications

• 10-15 years of SAP functional consulting experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP MM, SD, and PP modules.
• Experience leading SAP functional teams in complex environments.
• Delivered at least one SAP Brownfield Migration project (Brownfield++ preferred).
• Experience in large-scale SAP transformation, upgrade, migration, or S/4HANA programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP functional streams across MM, SD, and PP modules.
• Drive Brownfield++ migration activities, including assessment, blueprint validation, fit-gap analysis, solution design, testing, cutover, and hypercare.
• Act as primary functional liaison between business stakeholders, project teams, system integrators, and technical teams.
• Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with key business users.
• Analyse SAP processes and recommend improvements aligned with business objectives and SAP best practices.
• Ensure integration across MM, SD, PP and related SAP modules.
• Support data migration, testing, UAT, and deployment activities.
• Identify and mitigate functional risks, issues and dependencies.
• Provide leadership to functional team members and client stakeholders.
• Deliver high-quality documentation, process designs, specifications, and artifacts.

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable SAP Functional Lead (MM, SD, PP) to support a large-scale SAP Brownfield++ Migration Program for our client in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned SAP consultant with strong functional expertise, proven delivery experience in SAP transformation programs, and the ability to adapt quickly within a complex client ecosystem.

This role requires a mature consulting professional who can engage effectively with business stakeholders, lead functional workstreams, drive solution design discussions, and ensure successful project execution throughout the migration lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP functional streams across Materials Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), and Production Planning (PP).
• Participate in and drive Brownfield++ migration activities, including assessment, blueprint validation, fit-gap analysis, solution design, testing, cutover, and hypercare.
• Act as the primary functional liaison between business stakeholders, project management teams, system integrators, and technical teams.
• Facilitate workshops and requirement‑gathering sessions with key business users.
• Analyse existing SAP processes and recommend improvements aligned with business objectives and SAP best practices.
• Ensure successful integration across MM, SD, PP, and related SAP modules.
• Support data migration, system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
• Identify and mitigate functional risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Provide leadership and guidance to functional team members and client stakeholders.
• Deliver high-quality documentation, process designs, functional specifications, and project artifacts.

Mandatory Requirements

Experience

• 10-15 years of SAP functional consulting experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP MM, SD, and PP modules.
• Proven experience leading SAP functional teams in complex enterprise environments.
• Must have successfully delivered at least one SAP Brownfield Migration project (Brownfield++ experience preferred).
• Experience working in large-scale SAP transformation, upgrade, migration, or S/4HANA programs.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end business processes across Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Order-to-Cash, and Production Planning.
• Strong configuration and solution design capabilities across MM, SD, and PP.
• Experience in integration touchpoints with other SAP modules.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing consulting experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic client environment and adapt quickly to organizational culture and ways of working.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing workshops, driving decisions, and resolving complex functional issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Communication

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to confidently engage with business users, management teams, and project leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA migration and transformation programs.
• Prior consulting experience with multinational clients.
• Malaysia project experience is an advantage.
• SAP certifications in MM, SD, PP, or S/4HANA are desirable.
