• Experience building AI agents, LLM integrations, or automated diagnostic tools preferred.
• Experience with Python web frameworks (FastAPI/Flask) or data analysis libraries (Pandas) preferred.
• Basic ERP/finance workflow knowledge preferred.

As a FICO Operation Engineer, you are the analytical backbone of daily operations. You will maintain system health, resolve transactional blockers, and meet strict operational SLAs. As you master operational workflows and failure modes, you will channel that frontline knowledge into helping build internal AI agents, turning manual root-cause investigations into intelligent, automated workflows.

Key responsibilities

Manage the daily incident queue, investigate system errors, and resolve operational blockers within defined SLAs to keep global business operations running smoothly

Trace data mismatches, posting failures, and transaction flows across SAP S/4HANA Finance (FICO) and integrated supply chain modules (SD/PP) to pinpoint root causes

Read and analyze error logs, stack traces, and code execution paths across self-developed internal Java platforms to isolate software defects

Translate real-world incident scenarios and diagnostic patterns into tools, prompt logic, and workflows for internal AI agents, actively helping develop agents that automate log analysis and accelerate ticket resolution

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related discipline

High sense of ownership over tickets, queue health, and SLAs with systematic troubleshooting approach

Solid programming fundamentals in Python for automation scripts and agent tooling

Ability to read and understand Java code flow and error stack traces for troubleshooting in-house systems

Practical understanding of relational databases and querying (SQL)

Clear, structured communication skills to provide concise incident updates to business stakeholders and collaborate effectively with senior engineering teams

Hands‑on university, internship, or personal project experience building AI agents, LLM integrations (API tool/function calling, RAG), or automated diagnostic tools (preferred)

Experience with Python web frameworks (FastAPI/Flask) or data analysis libraries (pandas) (preferred)

Basic conceptual knowledge of ERP systems, accounting/finance workflows (preferred)
