Job summary

Swisslog is seeking a skilled SAP ABAP developer to join our international team in Malaysia. You will evaluate, design, and implement ABAP solutions, and contribute to CDS data models and FIORI/UI5 apps across global departments.

You will design interfaces (OData, BAPI, RFC, SOAP) and extend SAP forms, while ensuring QA of developments and seamless incident handling. A strong, continuous learning mindset and team orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of studies in (business) informatics or a comparable education.
• At least five years of experience in SAP software development and database modeling (ABAP, ABAP Objects, CDS).
• Excellent knowledge in GUI development (SAP GUI, SAP UI5, Web Dynpro ABAP).
• Good knowledge in interface programming (OData, SOAP, ALE, RFC, BAPI).
• Good knowledge in form development (Adobe Interactive Forms, SAP Smart Forms, SAP Script).
• Willingness for continuous education and learning new technologies.
• Team player with resilience and motivation.
• Cross-module SAP knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation, design, and implementation of complex ABAP development requirements with international teams.
• Create technical concepts and develop company-specific applications based on SAP ABAP, ABAP OO, CDS, and SAP FIORI.
• Program interfaces (OData, BAPI, RFC, SOAP) including non-SAP apps like ESB and Salesforce.
• Develop and extend SAP forms (SAP Interactive Forms, SAP Smart Forms, SAP Script).
• Develop UI5 and FIORI applications and ensure QA of SAP developments (RICEFW).
• Handle incidents at the SAP application level independently and collaborate with global IT teams.

Make an impact

You will enhance our international SAP team by performing the following tasks:

• Evaluation, design, and implementation of complex ABAP development requirements in close collaboration with national and international departments
• Creating technical concepts, development, and implementation of company-specific applications based on SAP ABAP, ABAP OO, SAP BTP, and SAP FIORI
• Programming of interfaces (e.g. OData, BAPI, RFC, SOAP, and ALE), also in conjunction with non-SAP applications such as ESB and Salesforce
• Development and extension of forms (SAP Interactive Forms, SAP Smart Forms, SAP Script)
• Development and extension of UI5 and FIORI applications
• Quality assurance of SAP developments (RICEFW)
• Independent handling of incidents at the SAP application level
• Close collaboration with the global IT teams in Augsburg (Germany), Budapest (Hungary), Redditch (UK), and Buchs (Switzerland)
