Job summary

PPG is seeking a SAP BTP developer to join the global MDR Analytics team in the Master Data Request COE area. You will create and manage master data for materials and customers, building cloud-native extensions with SAP BTP, BPA, and CAP, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integrations.

You will perform testing, maintain documentation, and support Phase II of Connect (China) while monitoring performance and solving issues to keep systems reliable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, software engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience with SAP BTP development.
• Open reference: SAP BTP Developer's Guide: Essential Best Practices from Setup to Scale.
• Proficiency in CAP and programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Node.js; REST/SOAP API development and integration.
• Strong ability to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, optimize, and improve the application, and design and develop cloud-native apps and extensions in SAP BTP using BPA and CAP.
• Perform unit and integration testing to ensure applications function correctly.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with SAP COE and functional teams for successful solution integration and agreement on business requirements.
• Collaborate to maintain MDR configurations.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure system stability and reliability.
• Collaborate on Phase II of Connect (China).
