Job summary

DayOne Data Centers invites a senior SAP Basis Administrator to join our Singapore-headquartered global infra team in Kuala Lumpur. You will operate SAP Basis daily, administer S/4HANA across environments, and manage Fiori, BTP, and Cloud ALM integrations.

You will own incidents, transport controls and cross-region handoffs, ensuring security, backups and control compliance. You will collaborate with infra, network and security partners across time zones, supporting upgrades and change

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 5–8 years' hands-on SAP Basis experience including S/4HANA production admin.
• Experience with Fiori, BTP, Cloud ALM and multi-cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily SAP Basis operations including monitoring, tuning and transports.
• Administer S/4HANA development, QA, production and sandbox environments.
• Manage SAP Fiori landscape, gateway config, OData services and launchpad.
• Handle SAP BTP, Cloud ALM integrations and deployments.
• Own incidents, runbooks and SLAs across regions and time zones.
• Enforce change controls, transport logs and release windows.
• Document SAP landscape and coordinate with infra, network, security.
• Coordinate with SAP and MSP for platform maintenance and upgrades.
• Support security, backups, DR testing and IT general controls.

Responsibilities

• SAP System Administration: Perform daily SAP Basis operations, including system monitoring, performance tuning, background job management and transport management.
• Administer S/4HANA development, quality, production and sandbox environments, conduct regular health checks, and support kernel upgrades, support packages and patch management.
• SAP Fiori Administration: Manage the SAP Fiori landscape, including gateway configuration, OData service activation, catalogue and launchpad administration, cache management and front-end performance troubleshooting.
• SAP BTP and Cloud ALM: Manage integrations and extensions deployed on SAP BTP, configure subaccounts, destinations, Cloud Connector and trust between BTP and S/4HANA, and support deployment of CAP or UI5 applications. Use SAP Cloud ALM for monitoring, alerting, dashboards and change management.
• Shared Services Operations: Own assigned technical incidents and service requests within agreed service levels, maintain monitoring checklists and runbooks, and provide clear handover across regions and time zones.
• Transport and Change Control: Import transports only against approved change records, maintain transport logs and evidence, enforce production change controls, and support release and deployment windows.
• Landscape and Integration Support: Maintain and document the SAP landscape across private cloud and connected systems, coordinate with infrastructure, network and security teams, and troubleshoot RFC, IDoc, API and SAP Integration Suite connectivity issues.
• Vendor and Provider Coordination: Coordinate with SAP and the private cloud operations provider for platform maintenance, upgrades, refreshes, incidents and service requests, understanding the split of responsibilities under RISE with SAP, and track them to closure.
• Security, Backup and Compliance: Support user administration and privileged access procedures in coordination with the security team, support backup, disaster recovery testing and high availability arrangements, and produce evidence for IT general controls, SOX and audit requests.
• Projects and Continuous Improvement: Provide technical input to upgrade, migration, rollout and enhancement projects, recommend tools and automation to improve Basis operations, and maintain operating procedures and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 to 8 years of hands-on SAP Basis experience, including S/4HANA administration in production environments.
• Proven experience managing Fiori, SAP BTP and SAP Cloud ALM environments.
• Experience in RISE with SAP or S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition landscapes, with a clear understanding of the customer and provider responsibility split, is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Basis concepts, including system refresh, client copies, transports, RFCs and background jobs, and SAP HANA administration and performance optimisation.
• Experience with Fiori Launchpad, OData services and front-end troubleshooting, and familiarity with BTP subaccounts and Cloud Connector.
• Working knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager or Focused Run, and of Linux, Windows and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Understanding of SAP security and authorisation concepts, and experience producing technical evidence for IT general controls and audit.
• Experience working in a shared services or managed service environment with service level targets, ITIL-aligned processes and multi-country stakeholders.
• SAP Certified Technology Associate in S/4HANA System Administration, SAP BTP Administration certification and ITIL Foundation are preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills, with ownership, accountability and willingness to support outside standard hours for planned maintenance.
