Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Malaysia I Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead end-to-end integration of new data centre capacity.

You will coordinate with design, construction, and operations teams, drive readiness planning, and ensure delivery to quality and budget standards. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data centre operations, PMP/PRINCE2 or equivalent, and strong communication and stakeholder-management skills. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data centre operations, with a focus on capacity planning and integration.
• Project management experience with relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
• Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure including servers, networking, storage, and cooling systems.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage end-to-end integration projects for new data centre capacity, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Collaborate with the capacity planning team to understand future capacity requirements and ensure smooth integration of new infrastructure.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including design, construction, and operations teams, to ensure seamless integration of new capacity.
• Develop and execute operational readiness plans, including testing, documentation, and training, to ensure new capacity is fully operational upon integration.
• Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure all new capacity meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise impact on operations.
• Provide regular updates and reports on project status, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data centre operations, with a focus on capacity planning and integration.
• Proven experience in project management, with relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
• Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure, including servers, networking, storage, and cooling systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
