Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a SAP ABAP technical consultant/developer to design, develop, and maintain backend ABAP solutions, including RAP and CDS data models, for SAP implementations and support projects.

You will build integrations using SOAP, OData, and IDoc, with SAP AIF monitoring and error handling, and work with SAP GUI Development, SAP UI5, CAP, and Fiori where needed. Diploma holders with relevant experience are invited to apply.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years in SAP ABAP within implementation projects and/or support (L3) is a plus.
At least 1 full cycle end-to-end implementation on regional/global basis is a plus.
ABAP OO / CDS / RAP experience is advantageous.
Backend developer role; limited frontend/backend mix.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain ABAP backend solutions including RAP and CDS-based data models.
Build and extend integration scenarios using SOAP, OData, and IDoc with SAP AIF error handling and monitoring.
Develop and adapt forms (Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, SAPscript).
Contribute to data migration and carve-out projects from technical concept to go-live.
Support frontend/side-by-side with SAP UI5, CAP where needed; SAP GUI Development tasks as required.
Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business processes into technical solutions.

about the job

To design, develop, and maintain backend solutions in ABAP, including modern development models such as RAP and CDS-based data models
Build and extend integration scenarios using SOAP, OData, and IDoc, including monitoring and error handling with SAP AIF
Develop and adapt forms (e.g. Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, SAPscript)
Contribute to data migration and carve-out projects, from technical concept to go-live

Work closely with functional consultants to translate business processes into technical solutions

about the manager/team

You will work with different stakeholders, liasing with Project Manager, Key Business Users, Business Analyst, Functional & other Technical Consultants for SAP ABAP within project implementation, enhancement / support role. As a SAP ABAP technical consultant / developer, you will be responsible for support, enhancement & development of SAP modules from technical / ABAP perspective.

about the requirements:

Someone who has at least 5 years of experience in either SAP ABAP within implementation project and/or support (L3) is an added but not compulsory.
Someone with at least 1 full cycle end-to-end implementation projects on a regional or global basis is an added but not compulsary.
Those with experience in either one of these languages / tech stacks ; ABAP OO / CDS / RAP is an added advantage but not compulsary
Those with experience in either one of these front end tools ; SAP GUI Development / SAP AIF / Fiori / CAP / SAP UI5 is added advantage but not compulsary (this is still a back end developer role, not full stack or front end)
Someone with experience in either one of these middleware tools ; SOAP / OData / IDoc is an added advantage but not compulsary (this is still a back end developer role, not an integration role)
Someone with at leadership experience is an added advantage but not compulsary (this is individual contributor role)
Someone from consulting firm is mostly sought after (end user is also welcome to apply)

about the salary & benefits

Only for MALAYSIAN or those that do not require VISA to work in Msia
up to RM 17,000 can be increased to experienced consultant who already earned more
