JOB OVERVIEW
The Sales Specialist drives business growth by identifying, engaging, and closing opportunities for eLearning, HR Tech, and related digital learning solutions. This role blends consultative selling, market development, and client relationship management to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs. You will act as a trusted advisor to organizations exploring digital learning transformation, contributing directly to revenue growth and customer success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned market or industry segment.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed individual and team targets.
- Conduct research to understand client organizations, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
2. Client Engagement & Consultative Selling
- Build and nurture long‑term relationships with clients, serving as their main point of contact.
- Conduct needs analyses and propose solutions that align with client goals and challenges.
- Deliver engaging product presentations and demonstrations, both virtually and in-person.
3. Proposal, Negotiation & Closing
- Develop tailored proposals and quotations based on client requirements.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms in alignment with company policies.
- Ensure proper documentation and timely closure of deals.
4. Cross‑Selling & Account Growth
- Engage with existing clients to identify opportunities for cross‑selling and upselling.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and delivery of solutions.
5. Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, and client interactions in CRM systems (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce).
- Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and feedback on market dynamics.
- Share insights from the field to influence product development and marketing strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline.
- 2–4 years of sales experience, preferably in eLearning, EdTech, or B2B software solutions.
- Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365; experience with CRM software (Zoho, Salesforce) is an added advantage.
- Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency is an asset.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and events as required.
ADDED ADVANTAGE / TOOLS & PLATFORMS
- Familiarity with learning platforms (e.g., TalentLMS, eFront), authoring tools (Articulate 360, Vyond, Powtoon), or hybrid learning solutions (e.g., ClassIn, Colossyan).
- Experience with collaboration tools such as ClickUp, Miro Board, and Teams.
