Job summary

DOMITYS BANGSAR KL is seeking a Sales Manager with strong Sales & Marketing background and hospitality experience. The role involves meeting clients, promoting packages, negotiating deals, and coordinating services for events, with a focus on expanding the client base in Kuala Lumpur.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in a similar role, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Qualifications

• Proven minimum 3 years experience as Sales & Marketing Assistant Manager or similar.

Responsibilities

• Meet clients by appointment or via cold calls to service and grow the client base.
• Promote packages and drive sales during low periods.
• Negotiate deals and tailor packages to client needs and budgets.
• Introduce clients to hotel facilities and services.
• Build rapport through client entertainment and product/service introductions.
• Attend exhibitions and fairs to generate leads and promote offerings.
• Conduct market surveys and networking to understand trends and opportunities.
• Coordinate with support departments for event arrangements.
• Travel for business to service existing clients and enter new markets.

• Sales Calls / Visit – Meet up with clients by appointment or cold calls; service existing clients and bring in new clients
• Sales Blitz – Promote new packages; push up sales during low period
• Sales Negotiation – Business discussions; propose customized packages to suit clients’ need and budget; close business deals
• Hotel Inspection – Introduce hotel’s services and facilities to clients
• Guest Entertainment – Build rapport with clients; food tasting; introduce new products / services to clients
• Exhibition / Fair – Participate in the relevant fairs to promote hotel’s products and services together with the Team Members
• Market Survey / Networking – Visit to conventional fairs to study the market trends; build networks with the relevant and potential markets for business leads
• Sales Trip – Be ready to assigned for business trips out of KL to service the existing clients and penetrate into new markets
• To achieve the monthly sales target set by the Director of Sales and General Manager.
• To ensure higher profit margin especially through yield management.
• To do regular competitor’s surveys on events being held at competitor hotels.
• To follow up on any leads.
• To entertain potential and regular clients to secure business and maintain rapport.
• To introduce clients to our varied facilities.
• To co-ordinate with relevant supporting departments all pertinent and special arrangements regarding each event.
• To take on any additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by the Director of Sales & Marketing/Director of Sales/Assistant Director of Sales/Senior Sales Manager.
• To perform all duties and responsibilities applicable to the position of Sales Manager and any other functions as may be assigned by Management from time to time.

Eligibility CRITERIA:

• Proven minimum (3) years previous experience working as a Sales & Marketing Assistant Manager in a similar type of establishment.
• Preferably experience from Hospitality industries.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, including good oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
• Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia, and English.
