Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Sales Executive / Assistant Manager to drive growth across Peninsular Malaysia. The role focuses on selling new machinery, developing new customers and managing existing accounts in construction, oil & gas, plantation and agriculture sectors.

The position offers a basic salary based on experience plus monthly sales commission, with transport and mobile phone benefits and travel expense reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, Marketing or a related field.
• Two+ years in B2B sales in heavy equipment, machinery or related engineering industry preferred.
• Existing customer network within construction, oil & gas, plantation or agriculture sectors.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment or related products would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop new sales and follow up with existing customers to achieve sales targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and prospects.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across Peninsular Malaysia.
• Manage and grow the existing customer portfolio.
• Develop and execute sales strategies and plans.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable equipment solutions.
• Prepare quotations, conduct presentations, negotiate terms and follow through on opportunities.
• Conduct market research on customer needs, trends and competitors.
• Travel outstation as required.

Our client, an established heavy-equipment and machinery company, is looking for a Sales Executive / Assistant Manager to support its business growth across Peninsular Malaysia.

This is an individual contributor role focused on selling new machinery, developing new customers and managing existing accounts within industries such as construction, oil and gas, plantation and agriculture.

The position and salary offered will depend on the candidate’s relevant experience, industry exposure and customer network.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new sales and follow up with existing customers to achieve sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across Peninsular Malaysia.
• Manage and grow the existing customer portfolio.
• Develop and execute sales strategies and plans.
• Understand customers’ requirements and recommend suitable equipment solutions.
• Prepare quotations, conduct presentations, negotiate commercial terms and follow through on sales opportunities.
• Conduct market research and gather information on customer needs, market trends and competitors.
• Travel outstation when required.

Must possess a valid driving licence and own vehicle.

Willing to travel throughout Peninsular Malaysia.
