Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly upon arrival
• Provide detailed jewellery information incl. materials, designs and pricing
• Assist customers with product selection based on preferences and budget
• Process transactions accurately using POS systems
• Handle cash and card payments securely
• Maintain visual merchandising and store cleanliness
• Restock shelves and monitor inventory levels
• Address customer queries with professionalism
• Promote offers, promotions and loyalty programmes
• Build rapport to encourage repeat business and referrals
• Assist with stocktaking and inventory control
• Adhere to health, safety and security procedures

We are seeking a Sales Assistant to join the team at TSL Jewellery Retailing Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales within our retail environment. As a Sales Assistant, you will be the face of our brand, creating memorable shopping experiences whilst maintaining the highest standards of product knowledge and customer care. This role is essential to our retail operations and directly contributes to achieving our business objectives and customer satisfaction goals.

What you'll be doing

Greeting customers warmly and professionally upon arrival in the store

Providing detailed product information about jewellery items, including materials, designs, gemstones and pricing

Assisting customers with product selection based on their preferences and budget requirements

Processing customer transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems

Handling cash, card payments and other payment methods securely and efficiently

Maintaining visual merchandising standards and keeping the store display areas clean, organised and attractive

Restocking shelves and ensuring adequate inventory levels on the shop floor

Addressing customer queries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy

Meeting sales targets and actively promoting special offers, promotions and loyalty programmes

Building rapport with customers to encourage repeat business and positive word-of-mouth recommendations

Assisting with stocktaking and inventory management activities as required

Maintaining compliance with health, safety and security procedures at all times

What we're looking for

Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in jewellery or luxury goods retail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers effectively

A genuine passion for jewellery and interest in developing product knowledge

Excellent numeracy skills and the ability to handle transactions accurately

The ability to work as part of a team whilst also demonstrating initiative and independence

Smart appearance and professional demeanour at all times

Flexibility to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation

Basic computer literacy and familiarity with point-of-sale systems

Honest, trustworthy character with integrity in handling valuable merchandise
