Job summary

EP Engineering Solutions Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Safety Supervisor on a 1-year contract to ensure safe working conditions and compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations on our project sites.

Responsibilities include site inspections, safety planning, worker training, incident investigation, record-keeping, and PPE coordination. The role requires DOSH Yellow Book registration and a NEBOSH/IOSH-compatible qualification, with 1 year of construction safety experience.

Qualifications

• Registration with DOSH Yellow Book is required.
• A recognized qualification in health, safety and environmental management (NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent).
• At least 1 year of experience in site safety or health and safety in construction.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian HSE regulations, building codes and construction standards.
• Proficient in safety documentation, record-keeping and reporting systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage workers at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and safety risks.
• Develop, implement and monitor site-specific safety plans and procedures.
• Provide safety inductions and toolbox talks to all workers on site.
• Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses and accidents; document findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with local HSE regulations and maintain safety records.
• Promote safety culture by coordinating with project managers, contractors and subcontractors.
• Coordinate PPE distribution and hazardous materials handling procedures.
• Prepare safety reports and present findings to site management.

Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within construction is preferred.* **Technical Knowledge:** Strong knowledge of Malaysian health and safety regulations, building codes and construction standards. Proficiency in safety documentation, record-keeping and reporting systems. Competent in relevant safety software and tools, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).* **Core Competencies:** Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage workers at all levels. Proven ability to investigate incidents and implement preventive measures. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in dynamic site environments. Keen eye for detail, with a positive and proactive attitude and willingness to support the team.* **Other:** Physical fitness and ability to spend considerable time on construction sites.
