Job summary

Jobstreet Malaysia is seeking a site HSE professional to oversee safety, health, and environment compliance at the Sitiawan site. You will enforce SWP, JSA, and PTW systems, monitor PPE usage, and identify hazards through regular inspections.

You will lead risk assessments, participate in toolbox talks, and coordinate internal/external HSE audits. You will investigate incidents, maintain records, and drive continuous safety improvements on site.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all site operations comply with occupational safety, health, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company standards.
• Enforce adherence to Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
• Monitor workers and subcontractors to ensure the proper use of PPE and compliance with site rules.
• Identify potential hazards and unsafe conditions through regular inspections.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
• Participate in hazard identification programs (HAZARD) and toolbox meetings.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and prepare inspection reports.
• Participate in internal and external HSE audits and ensure follow-up on non-conformists.
• Verify that equipment and machinery are properly maintained and certified for use.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe acts to determine root causes.
• Prepare incident/accident reports and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain an updated incident log and track closure of HSE findings.
• Conduct safety induction programs for new workers and visitors.
• Lead daily toolbox meetings and weekly safety briefings.
• Promote safety awareness and continuous HSE improvement among all site staff.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures. Coordinate emergency drills with relevant teams.
• Ensure that emergency equipment is available and in working condition.
• Maintain HSE documentation including inspection checklists, risk assessments, and training records.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly safety reports to management and clients
