Job summary

Easybook (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Safety Compliance Inspector to ensure adherence to APAD, ICOP Safety, and internal standards. You will conduct inspections and audits on BOs, express buses and drivers, review licences and documents, and verify vehicle safety elements.

The role requires 2–4 years in passenger transport, strong knowledge of safety regulations, and the ability to prepare CAPA and follow-up reports. Travel within Malaysia may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Transportation, Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or an equivalent field.
• At least 2–4 years of relevant experience; experience in passenger transport or express bus industry is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of APAD regulations and ICOP Safety, with ability to apply them in inspections and documentation.
• Able to read and use inspection checklists, identify risks, assess evidence, and prepare CAPA and follow-up reports.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English, particularly when dealing with BOs and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with APAD and ICOP Safety requirements and internal safety standards.
• Conduct safety inspections, compliance audits and qualification assessments of BOs, express buses and drivers.
• Inspect and review licences/permits and supporting documents, including driver qualifications, rest records, training, roadworthiness, PUSPAKOM, maintenance and relevant operational documents.
• Inspect and review vehicle safety elements such as tyres, brakes, steering/suspension, emergency exits, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, CCTV, GPS and telematics.
• Assist in identifying non-compliance, assessing risk levels, determining CAPA, and following up until closure.
• Investigate or coordinate preliminary investigations into safety incidents and submit improvement recommendations to management.
• Conduct safety induction and briefings, maintain audit trails and ensure inspection evidence is properly retained.
• Prepare safety reports, inspection reports, statistics, presentations and supporting documents for management.
• Serve as an internal reference for Operations, Sales and Management on ICOP Safety and inspection standards.

Serve as an internal reference for Operations, Sales and Management on matters relating to ICOP Safety and inspection standards.

Maintain, monitor and keep track of all documents in a retrievable condition for reference.

To support any ad-hoc matters.

Requirements

Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Transportation, Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or an equivalent field.

At least 2 - 4 years of relevant experience; experience in passenger transport or the express bus industry is an advantage.

Good knowledge of APAD regulations and ICOP Safety, with the ability to apply them in inspections and documentation.

Able to read and use inspection checklists, identify risks, assess evidence, and prepare CAPA and follow-up reports.

Good skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, documentation and report preparation.

Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English, particularly when dealing with BOs and stakeholders.

High integrity, disciplined, detail-oriented, able to work independently and willing to travel within Malaysia when required.

A Green Book (DOSH), First Aid Certification or other relevant safety qualifications are preferred.
