What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct site induction training for company and subcontractor personnel.
- Prepare Project Monthly HSE Report and Project HSE Program.
- Assist supervision and workers in risk identification and job hazard analysis.
- Report safety non-compliance to the Project Manager and subcontractor.
- Facilitate the site Safety Committee, including agenda, toolbox meetings, and involvement of Safety and Health Representatives.
- Serve as Secretary of the Safety & Health Committee.
- Assist in preparing company HSE documentation under the direction of the HSE Manager.
- Provide advice and support to the Project Manager for implementing and auditing the Health, Safety, Security & Environment Management Plan.
- Maintain accountability of line management personnel for Health, Safety, Security & Environment.
- Identify safety training needs and coordinate sessions/courses for site personnel.
- Monitor compliance with the Safety & Health Program requirements.
- Ensure adherence to procedures, safe work standards, and statutory requirements.
- Communicate safety procedures and work standards/practices.
- Advise on project-related Health, Safety, Security & Environment issues.
- Maintain safety education and awareness levels.
- Liaise with relevant authorities (e.g., DOSH, DOE, CIDB, Local Authorities).
- Lead accident investigations and prepare reports with recommendations.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related discipline, with safety officer certification recognized by NIOSH or equivalent.
- Registered with DOSH as a Safety Officer (Valid SHO Registration).
- At least 2 years of experience in safety and health matters.
