Job summary

Maxim Textile Technology Sdn Bhd is seeking a Safety and Health Officer to monitor compliance with safety procedures, perform risk assessments, and lead investigations of incidents. You will conduct inspections, prepare reports, and promote a strong safety culture across the workforce.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in OSH or related field, SHO/DOSH registration, and 2–3 years of manufacturing safety experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or a related field.
• Registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH/JKKP is required (Green Book), depending on the position.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in Safety & Health, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health requirements and workplace safety practices.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments, workplace inspections, and incident investigations.
• Good communication, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Able to conduct safety training, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Responsible, proactive, disciplined, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with workplace safety and health procedures.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Perform risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Prepare safety reports and maintain proper safety documentation.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and safety training for employees.
• Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ensure safety rules, regulations, and company procedures are followed.
• Coordinate emergency response, fire safety, and evacuation drills.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions for identified hazards.
