Job summary

C N H Group is seeking a Site Safety Officer to support construction sites in Malaysia. You will conduct daily safety inspections, enforce DOSH and company rules, and drive HIRARC-based risk controls while coordinating with management and subcontractors.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in OSH/Engineering/Construction, strong communication, and the ability to make on-site safety decisions. Join us to promote safety, deliver toolbox talks, and ensure proper PPE and emergency readiness.

Responsibilities

• Site Safety Monitoring: Conduct daily site inspections and monitor workers and subcontractors to ensure safe practices.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with Malaysia OSHA, DOSH, and company safety procedures.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct and review HIRARC and recommend control measures.
• Toolbox Meetings & Safety Training: Conduct toolbox meetings and provide induction and safety training.
• PPE Management: Ensure PPE use and monitor compliance.
• Work at Height & High-Risk Activities: Monitor scaffolding, ladders, lifting operations, and high-risk work.
• Accident / Incident Management: Investigate incidents and prepare corrective actions.
• Safety Documentation: Maintain inspection and training records and permits.
• Emergency Preparedness: Establish procedures and drills, ensure first-aid readiness.
• Coordination with Management & Authorities: Advise on safety matters and liaise with DOSH/JKKP.

Responsibility

Site Safety Monitoring

• Conduct daily site inspections.

• Monitor workers and subcontractors to ensure safe working practices.

• Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.

Safety Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Malaysia OSHA requirements, DOSH requirements, and company safety procedures.

• Ensure required safety signage, barricades, PPE, and emergency arrangements are in place.

Risk Assessment

• Conduct and review HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control).

• Recommend control measures for identified hazards.

Toolbox Meetings & Safety Training

• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.

• Provide induction and safety training to new workers.

• Promote safety awareness among workers.

PPE Management

• Ensure workers use appropriate PPE such as safety helmets, safety shoes, reflective vests, harnesses, and other required protection.

• Monitor PPE compliance.

Work at Height & High-Risk Activities

• Monitor scaffolding, ladders, working platforms, and fall-protection systems.

• Monitor lifting operations, excavation, hot work, confined spaces, and other high-risk activities.

Accident / Incident Management

• Investigate accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences.

• Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective actions.

• Follow up to ensure corrective actions are completed.

Safety Documentation

• Maintain safety inspection records, toolbox meeting records, training records, and incident reports.

• Keep relevant permits, risk assessments, and safety documentation updated.

Emergency Preparedness

• Ensure emergency procedures are established.

• Organise or participate in emergency drills.

• Ensure first-aid equipment and emergency contacts are available.

Coordination with Management & Authorities

• Advise the Project Manager/Site Manager on safety matters.

• Coordinate with subcontractors regarding safety requirements.

• Liaise with DOSH/JKKP and other relevant authorities when required.
