Job summary

Alfa Laval in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger specialist to manage day-to-day accounting operations within area of responsibility.

You will prepare MISAL/ALSIS reports, IFRS-based intra-group matching, cost allocations, fixed assets, month-end and year-end close, and internal controls while supporting team members.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in SSC/BPO general ledger, strong English, Excel skills, and a degree in Finance/Accounting; iScala knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in General Ledger in SSC/BPO.
• Practical knowledge of accounting processes and rules.
• Strong analytical skills: identifying, forecasting and resolving problems.
• Proficient in English communication (verbal & written).
• Excellent communication and numeric skills with good attention to detail.
• Able to adapt when deadlines and priorities change.
• Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field is an advantage.
• iScala knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations within area of responsibility.
• Prepare and analyze periodic reporting (MISAL, ALSIS) for management information and detailed data.
• Prepare quarterly Intra Group Matching reporting based on IFRS.
• Collect information for statutory closing reporting (R forms).
• Prepare forecast reporting and book cost allocations between profit centers.
• Prepare and book internal freight and insurance.
• Maintain and record movements of fixed assets in ERP; run depreciation.
• Support RTR-related queries and audits; ensure data accuracy in systems.
• Prepare month-end and year-end activities and identify process improvements.
