Job summary

MCC, a global industry leader, invites applications for a Fixed Asset Accounting role at our Shared Services Centre in Malaysia. You will manage US GAAP and local depreciation, asset movements, and CAPEX approval while collaborating with the Local Controller and other functions to support timely close and accurate reporting.

The role requires a degree in Accounting/Finance with ACCA/CPA/MIA, strong English communication, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment within Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent; professional qualifications (ACCA/CPA/MIA) preferred.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English.
• Independent with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; detail-oriented and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Fixed Asset Accounting: ensure US GAAP and local statutory compliance; maintain asset records; manage AFE for CAPEX; assist asset migrations to SSC.
• Month-End Close: ensure depreciation processes align with US GAAP and local requirements; support financial close and Hyperion roll-forward updates.
• Financial Reporting: prepare reconciliations for Assets Under Construction; support internal and external reporting and audits.
• Continuous Improvement: leverage technology to implement cost-neutral process improvements.
• Compliance and Internal Controls: stay updated on accounting standards and regulatory requirements; ensure governance and control practices.
• Service Level and Team Collaboration: maintain service levels; communicate with stakeholders; coordinate with other functions; support the team lead.
