Job summary

Elsa Talent Solutions Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer for installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of gas turbines and related rotating equipment in Miri, Malaysia.

The role requires substantial field experience and hands-on troubleshooting during start-up and commissioning phases. The candidate will interpret performance tests, perform vibration analysis, and ensure compliance with safety and project standards across field assignments in Miri and nearby

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering and commissioning experience, including 3 years in a similar position.
• Experience with gas turbines and rotating machinery installation, commissioning, supervision, or maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of rotating equipment (gas turbines and compressors).
• Interpret and analyse turbine and compressor performance test results.
• Perform vibration analysis, dynamic balancing, and assessments of mechanical seals and bearing applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and performance-related issues during commissioning and start-up.
• Prepare job cards, work packs, and commissioning documentation for Hook-Up and Commissioning (HUC).
• Perform fieldwork and provide technical support during HUC execution.
• Ensure all rotating equipment activities comply with project specs, company standards, and safety requirements.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering and commissioning experience, including at least 3 years in a similar position.
• Experience in the installation, commissioning, supervision, or maintenance of gas turbines and rotating machinery.

Professional skill

• In-depth knowledge of gas turbines, compressors, and other rotating equipment.
• Proficient in interpreting turbine and compressor performance test results.
• Skilled in vibration analysis, dynamic balancing, and mechanical seal and bearing applications.
• Familiar with rotating equipment commissioning procedures and oil and gas industry practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical problem-solving skills.

Responsibility
